SHAINA GRANT

Grief and Growth Coach

About

I specialise in helping people through life; whether it’s navigating grief, developing adaptive resilience, exploring deeper purpose, or seeking personal development.

As an ICF-trained coach, my work is grounded in professional standards, ethical practice, and people-centered care.

My coaching combines a thoughtful, structured approach with compassion and genuine connection. Drawing from my engineering background, I bring curiosity and perspective to what you’re going through. Together, we explore what matters to you, gain clarity, and discover new possibilities for growth, healing, and positive movement toward what comes next.

I also offer Christian faith-based coaching (optional) where our coaching partnership includes the Holy Spirit, prayer and alignment with biblical principles.

My mission is simply to help.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative process where I partner with you to explore your goals, challenges, and opportunities.
In practice, this means:
  • Powerful conversations that help you gain clarity and new perspectives.
  • Goal‑focused support to move from where you are now to where you want to be.
  • Self‑discovery, instead of giving advice, as your coach I help you uncover your own solutions.
  • Partnership, coaching is a safe, non‑judgmental space where you are fully supported.

I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions, that’s therapy. I don’t hand you ready‑made answers, that’s consulting. Instead, I walk alongside you as a partner, offering tools, accountability, and encouragement so you can create your own path forward.
What is a grief coach?
As a grief coach, I support you in navigating loss; whether it's the death of a loved one, divorce, job loss, or other major life changes. Unlike therapy, which focuses on clinical healing, grief coaching is about empowerment and forward movement.
I personally have experienced tragic loss and while grief is honoured, my coaching emphasises on reclaiming agency and creating a meaningful life after loss.

As a grief coach I help you:
  • Honour your loss in a safe, compassionate space.
  • Explore meaning and identity shifts that often come with grief.
  • Build resilience and self‑compassion through practical tools and practices.
  • Re‑engage with life by setting goals and creating new possibilities while carrying your grief.

What does personal growth coaching entail?
Personal growth coaching is how I help you unlock your potential and create meaningful change in your life. I partner with you to explore your values, strengths, and goals, and together we design a path that supports your growth and fulfilment.

Personal growth topics we might explore:
  • Building self‑confidence and self‑esteem
  • Improving communication and relationships
  • Managing stress and finding balance
  • Developing leadership skills or career direction
  • Creating healthier habits and routines
  • Strengthening resilience after life changes
  • Finding clarity in values and purpose

Through our work, I help you:
  • Clarify your vision and what truly matters to you.
  • Identify and shift limiting beliefs into empowering perspectives.
  • Set and achieve goals that align with your values.
  • Build confidence and resilience to navigate challenges.
  • Discover new possibilities so you can live with greater purpose and balance

What is Christian personal growth and grief coaching?
For faith-based clients, my coaching is rooted in the Christian faith. I believe in the Trinity; God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit and I invite the Holy Spirit to guide and partner with us throughout the coaching process.

Christian personal growth and grief coaching is how I walk alongside you in life’s transitions, combining professional coaching tools with biblical principles and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It’s not just about setting goals or processing loss, it’s about inviting God into the journey so you can grow, heal, and move forward with faith and hope.

In our sessions, I partner with you and the Holy Spirit to:
  • Anchor your growth in Christ by drawing on scripture, prayer, and God’s promises.
  • Pursue personal growth by clarifying your values, building confidence, and creating faith‑aligned goals.
  • Process grief with compassion by honouring your loss while discovering resilience and meaning.
  • Reframe challenges by seeing them as opportunities for spiritual renewal and deeper trust in God.
  • Co‑create with the Spirit by allowing the Holy Spirit to guide insights, breakthroughs, and transformation.

Topics we might explore:
  • Finding strength and peace in God during seasons of loss
  • Rebuilding identity and purpose after major life changes
  • Growing in resilience, confidence, and self‑awareness through faith
  • Deepening your relationship with Christ while pursuing personal goals
  • Creating spiritual practices and habits that support your growth

I don’t replace therapy or pastoral counselling. Instead, I provide a safe, Spirit‑led space where you can honour your story, grow in faith, and discover new possibilities for your life.
Who should consider coaching?
Coaching is for anyone who wants to grow, navigate change, or move forward with clarity and confidence. You don’t need to be “stuck” or facing a crisis to benefit. Coaching is about unlocking potential and creating purposeful direction.

People who often consider coaching include:
  • Those seeking personal growth building confidence, resilience, or healthier habits.
  • Professionals wanting career clarity, leadership development, transitions, or work‑life balance.
  • Individuals processing grief or life changes; finding meaning and rebuilding identity after loss.
  • Christians desiring faith‑aligned support; integrating spiritual growth with personal or professional goals.
  • Anyone ready to explore new possibilities and take intentional steps toward a more fulfilling life.

If you’re ready to invest in yourself, explore new perspectives, and create lasting change, coaching is for you.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching and therapy are both valuable forms of support, but they serve different purposes.
Therapy focuses on healing, processing past experiences, and treating mental health conditions.
Coaching, on the other hand, is future‑focused. It’s about growth, clarity, and taking intentional steps toward your goals.

My role as a coach is to partner with you in creating change and moving forward. Coaching does not replace therapy or counselling, and I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If during our work together I feel you may benefit from therapy, I will respectfully refer you to a qualified specialist in that field.
What is the difference between coaching and consulting?
My coaching focuses on empowering you to discover your own solutions through self-reflection, guidance, and structured conversations. I ask powerful questions to help you develop skills, strategies, and personal awareness.

Consulting, on the other hand, involves providing my expert advice, recommendations, and solutions based on my specialized knowledge. Consultants analyse situations and offer direct solutions or strategies for improvement, often taking a more instructional approach.

There would be times within the coaching call, where I would request that we switch to consulting when I feel like it is required in that moment.
